For some Americans, Thanksgiving is their number one favorite holiday. Even if it’s not, you have to admit that you love the family time and the great food. However, besides all of the great stuff to eat, there’s also plenty to do on Thanksgiving Day in Atlanta.
Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon and 5K
Start your Thanksgiving Day by running off all of the food you’re about to consume. (That’s how it works, right?) This race in Midtown is orchestrated by the Atlanta Track Club and has thousands of participants every year.
Holiday Lights in Atlanta
What better way to ring in the holiday season than to enjoy festive lights on Thanksgiving? At this event, you can see tons of lights in many different locations! All of the lights will be perfectly timed to Christmas music and are sure to dazzle you.
LEGOLAND Discover Center
LEGOLAND is open on Thanksgiving from 10am to 7pm, so it’s a great pre- or post-Thanksgiving dinner activity for the kids.
ClueTown Book Scavenger Hunt
If your family is coming into town, take them around the city by solving puzzles together! You can get a ClueTown Book from four different areas, so you can pick whichever is closest to you.
Whatever you end up doing this Thanksgiving, make sure to have lots of turkey and stuffing!
