Beating the summer heat is one thing, but throwing some meat on the grill is another. Summer offers the perfect opportunity to try out new barbecue recipes and there’s no better test subjects than friends and family. This summer, try something new. Here are some great summer barbecue recipes from us here at Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead!
- Classic Cheeseburger – A summer (and American) icon, the classic cheeseburger is relatively straightforward to make. To create the perfect burger, you’ll need some raw red onions, ketchup, a fresh tomato, sharp yellow cheddar cheese, and 80% lean ground chuck. Cook the meat on the grill, but don’t place it on the bun just yet! Brush a soft hamburger bun with butter and toast it. Place the burger on last to avoid making the bun soggy.
- Grilled Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – A little more complicated, to make a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich, you’ll need boneless, skinless chicken breasts, buns, some ketchup, hot sauce, and unsalted butter. Preheat the grill and combine the hot sauce, butter, and ketchup then add the chicken. Let it marinate for 20 minutes then grill the chicken until the internal temperature hits 165 degrees. Grill the buns until toasted and then add dressing. To finish things off, add blue cheese-apple slaw for an added burst of flavor!
